A lot of the tracks featured in this selection offer a kind of comfort and lightness that is at the same time on the verge of melancholy. It is meant for dreaming and dreamy dancing. Most of the artists behind these tracks are to a certain extent well known among regular readers of this blog, attention should however be drawn to the newcomers of The Hot Press and The Micropops. The latter come from Bergen, home to Erlend Øye and The New Wine, and engage in enthusiastic pop music, as well. Another newcomer of public interest is Amanda Blank, who was first featured in Martha Hari's Copy&Paste. Although she is originally a rap singer, "Make It Take It" and "Big Heavy" prove her apt to fill indie and electro pop dancefloors. Another proper dancefloor filler is Producer Fake Blood, who is one half of The Black Ghosts. His EP "Fix Your Accent" was just released and past-due after a series of tasteful remixes, two of which can also be heard in this tape.
